My Story

After fourteen days, Dylan Finn awoke from a coma. Two weeks earlier, he was a typical college kid having fun, enjoying school, and hanging out with friends. But, on this particular day, Dylan had suffered a traumatic brain injury from a fall. With only a ten percent survival rate, Dylan found the strength and courage to flip the perspective of what happened to him and to use what he had learned to help others. Growth is the real story of what happened and Dylan's journey of learning, lessons, and light found at the end of the tunnel.

Dylan Finn is an author and an advocate for those recovering from traumatic injuries that may change the trajectory of their life. He received his B.S. at The College of Charleston, studying Hospitality and Tourism. While Dylan loves the hospitality and tourism field he majored in, due to a life-changing injury, he now sincerely desires to help people struggling. Dylan grew up in Sea Girt, NJ spending a lot of his time playing basketball, baseball and being socially active with friends and family. In 2020, Dylan suffered a traumatic injury that completely changed his life's direction. Dylan views his journey as a pathway for “Growth”, sharing the story that led him to where he is today.

StarLight Books is honored to publish author Dylan Finn's inspiring memoir!
